Actually, I read in one of my general knowledge book of random facts why Donkey Kong is named that even though he has nothing to do with donkeys. To make the long story short, remember he started off as just a big stupid ape on top of a half finished building, chucking barrels at Mario while he tried to save Princess Peach. When trying to decide on a name, they were looking for something that meant stupid. And well, to do something stupid, is to be an ass, a jack ass, which is also a common name used for a donkey. So Donkey Kong, due to some weird random garbled lost in translation shit.

I spent with my mother.

Went to my youngest nephew’s moving up ceremony from Kindergarten to 1st grade. Went well. Only had to be around my step sister and her husband for a short while. It’s all good. They are fucking twits, but that is besides the point.

Then, mum and I went about shopping and doing errands. I found bottles of $10 shampoo that I love for $2.50, I am pleased. As well as went to Yankee Candle at the mall and got an awesome tea light holder oil burning thingy on clearance, two huge ass awesome jar candles, and about 6 of those wee adorable sample candles for about $50. Again, yay.

But, one of her errands consisted of going a dollar store getting a couple bags of plastic cutlery for a party thing they are doing at her work, or some shit. Which ended up being a good thing because while there I remembered that this was one of the dollar stores that actually had good coloring books and for $1 each, fuck yes. I got two How To Train Your Dragon ones and I found an awesome Disney one that featured Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Aladdin, and Milo from Atlantis, Ect., you know, like the Disney Princess ones, just the Disney Dudes instead. Best. Coloring. Book. Ever.

Anyways, when I am following her around waiting for her to be done, she notices the books and looks at me and tells me that that is “One of the many things about me that worries and scares her. That you are 26 years old and still do things like color.” I just shrugged and responded with, “And I know people twice my age who color, and play with Legos, and Play-Doh and stuff like I do. They say ages 3 and up, on them. Not 3 and stop when it gets too weird for your mother. Which would you prefer? Me being 26, buying a few coloring books for a couple bucks, and sitting in my house, watching TV, harming no one and nothing, and just coloring. Or, me being 26, doing loads of crack, pimping like mad, and holding up banks and such at gun point for more money to get more crack during the pimping off season?”

Needless to say, I won, and am now coloring in my shiny new coloring books, while I watch Pixar movies.
